How does an illegal street racer go from smiling in her mugshot to joining the greatest F1 team?

Adelaide Saito's life is nothing less than chaotic. Dead mother, illegal lifestyle, partying every night, traveling the world, spending all her cash on plane tickets and car parts. However, when nearly crashing into Oliver Popove, Alveni's team principal, in Japan, turns into her securing the number two seat on his team, that's the cherry on top.
